An unseen scene featuring John Lennon dancing and rocking out during the Rolling Stones at the legendary Rock and Roll Circus was released last Thursday, the 29th.

The Rock and Roll Circus , created by the Rolling Stones in 1968, is one of the most memorable events for several reasons:

First, it shows a young Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath playing with Jethro Tull . And as if that wasn't unusual enough, he's using a white Fender guitar!

Later, the event also features The Dirty Mac , a supergroup formed for that performance with John Lennon, Eric Clapton , Keith Richards , and Mitch Mitchell .

Next up was one of the most incredible performances of The Who . And finally, this was guitarist Brian Jones with the Stones.

Other artists also performed during the 36-hour event, including Yoko Ono , Marainne Faithful , and Taj Mahal .

“It was an incredible shoot, I think it was 36 hours or something like that. I remember not remembering everything at the end, but it was fun. We performed for two audiences. It exhausted me and it was great!”, said guitarist Keith Richards about the recording.

The show was first released in 1996, and a special remastered edition was released in 2019.

Last week, a previously unreleased version of "Sympathy For The Devil" was made available, and in it you can see John Lennon dancing and having fun with the Stones.
