John Lennon's killer denied parole for the 11th time

Mark David Chapman will remain in prison for at least another two years

Mark David Chapman , known as the man who shot and killed John Lennon on December 8, 1980, had his parole request denied for the eleventh time this week.

The 65-year-old man was interviewed by officials who stated that Chapman is expected to remain in prison for at least another two years until his next trial in August 2022. In 1981, he was sentenced to twenty years in prison.

In past attempts, Chapman claims to have found Jesus and repented for the crime he committed, but Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono , absolutely does not want his freedom, stating that she fears she and John's children could become the criminal's next victims.

John Lennon was killed at the age of 40 outside his apartment in New York.
