After the Beatles stopped touring in 1966, John Lennon didn't seem interested in resuming the habit of consecutive performances, even throughout his solo career.

When the musician moved to New York in 1972 with his wife Yoko Ono , they both dedicated themselves fully to their activist performances and their progressive speeches representing the democratic left. The last time Lennon took to the stage to perform a full setlist was that same year, during a benefit event called One to One , organized by him and journalist Geraldo Rivera .

During his performance, John Lennon presented classics such as "Imagine" and "Mother," as well as a cover of Elvis Presley ," but the most memorable moment of the night was definitely when the former Beatle decided to "return to the past just this once" and perform his solo version of "Come Together."
