John Hinch , drummer for Judas Priest on the album Rocka Rolla , died at the age of 73. The news was released this Thursday, the 29th, on Rob Halford , but the cause of death was not disclosed.

In 1970, the drummer replaced founder John Ellis in the band, but only recorded Judas Priest's debut album, released in 1974, and was replaced for the next project. In its first decade, the heavy metal group had seven different members on drums alone.

“His style was strong, direct and unique. I’ll be listening to Rocka Rolla at maximum volume tonight,” Halford in a note sent to Loudwire . The vocalist was responsible for posting the news on social media, with a photo of the musician and the message “Rest in peace”.
