John Frusciante released the track "Brand E" last 14, which already comes with a very conceptual music video directed by Amalia Irons .
The song is the third single from Frusciante's new album, Maya , which arrives next Friday, the 23rd. "Maya was with me while I was making music for 15 years, so I wanted to name the album in her honor," says the artist about his late cat.
“She loved music, and with such a personal title, it didn’t seem right to call me Tricklefinger , somehow, so it’s by John Frusciante,” he clarifies, speaking about the name of his solo project.
