Former Red Hot Chili Peppers member John Frusciante hadn't released a guitar album in years.
Since leaving the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2009, John Frusciante has ventured down the path of abstract electronic music and acid house. Compositions that he has stated "have no audience in mind". His last project entirely dedicated to the guitar was the LP The Empyrean , which has now been out for a decade.
This week saw the release of Indonesian singer Dewa Budjana . John Frusciante features on two tracks from the album Mahandini . The guitarist handles both vocals and guitar on "Crowded" and "Zone".
