The US presidential elections are just around the corner, and more and more artists are speaking out. This time, Lamb Of GodJohn Campbellhas spoken out in a less than friendly way about President Donald Trump.
In an interview with Face Culture, the artist vents about the country's situation at the end of 2020, "We're screwed. The national leader is a sociopathic killer. And it's, I think, blatantly obvious, when you know there's a deadly virus circulating, and you still hold events that bring people together in an enclosed area."
“The reason we did those online performances is because it would be irresponsible to gather people like that,” John says. “So we’re trying to postpone [in-person shows] as much as we can, while the fucking President of the country is killing people, he’s murdering people.”
The bassist also believes that if the billionaire is defeated in the elections by Joe Biden, he will not accept the result, which will result in utter pandemonium. “I think it’s just going to get more and more chaotic; there’s going to be more violence encouraged by the President. If he loses, he’s going to protest the election and try to shut down the court. He might incite violence among his followers to keep him in office somehow. I really have no idea what’s going to happen. These are crazy times we’re living in, and people are very aggravated and divided,” he says.
