The event will be a tribute to the life and career of the drummer
Legendary drummer John Bonham Led Zeppelin will be honored in his hometown with a festival bearing his name. John Bonham: A Celebration will take place on September 22nd, three days before the 38th anniversary of his death, in Redditch, Worcestershire, England.
The festival's lineup has not yet been announced, but it has been revealed that artists and colleagues of the drummer will be part of the celebration. "This memorable event will feature a combination of well-known artists and up-and-coming musicians, all of whom will be investing their time to remember John Bonham and raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust," said the event's spokesperson.
Tickets are on sale on the event's official website and cost up to £25, approximately R$125.
Bonham died on September 25, 1980, at the age of 32 after suffering from poisoning. In December of that year, Led Zeppelin announced the end of the band.
