John 5 shared on social media last Tuesday, the 11th, that he contributed to Dolly Parton . The album, Rock Star, is expected to be released sometime in 2023.
“I’m so honored to have the opportunity to play guitar on one of the songs from Parton’s upcoming album. I’ve been listening to her forever. Words can’t describe how exciting this is,” wrote the new Mötley Crüe .
The country singer promised in early 2022 that she would do a rock project if she were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . Not only was she inducted, but she initially refused the nomination , only to later change her mind .
Furthermore, during her participation in the ceremony, Dolly released the unreleased track " Rockin '", the first song of her career to explore the musical genre, giving fans a "taste" of what they can expect from her future work.
In January, Parton revealed that the album, composed of original tracks and covers, will feature names like Steven Tyler , Paul McCartney , Steve Perry , and more .
Nikki Sixx , John 5's bandmate, also recently confirmed on Twitter that he played bass on one of the tracks from Rock Star .
