Joey Tempest , vocalist of Europe – one of the headliners 30th anniversary of – spoke about the new album Swedish band's most recent work is the album Walk The Earth , released in October 2017.
In an interview with Rolling Stone Brazil [via Blabbermouth ], Tempest confirmed that he and his colleagues are working on new material. Their 12th studio album is expected to arrive in 2026.

“We’ve never had such a long break between albums as this . Bag of Bones (2012), War of Kings (2015) and Walk the Earth represent a very energetic period in our lives, but we’ve been touring ever since, without going into the studio.”
“It started a bit because of Covid, but it was good for composing, as I could start from scratch. There was more time, I didn't need to go back on the road. That makes the new album interesting.”
Europe's new album should sound like their first.
According to him, due to the freshness of the material, the album sounds like the band . The Swede also stated that the process is halfway through.
“We’re sending demos back and forth, we’re getting there. We already have some great ideas. We’re planning on going into the studio in the fall [spring in the southern hemisphere], which means there will be music next year. The whole band is very excited.”.“
The lead singer made a point of emphasizing that Europe is drawing inspiration from "some influences from our past" when composing the new album, but that it will be "the same adventure as always" for the group .
