Band publishes statement
Slipknot announced today that drummer Joey Jordison has left the band. The following statement was released regarding his departure:
"It is with great sadness but with respect that, for personal reasons, Joey Jordison and Slipknot are parting ways. We all wish Joey the best in his future endeavors. We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this happened, and we will do our best to answer these questions in the near future. It is out of love for you, and for the music we created, that we will move forward and continue with our plan to release a new album next year. We hope you all understand this, and we appreciate your support as we plan the next phase for Slipknot."
