Joey Belladonna , frontman of Anthrax , sang the American national anthem before the Denver Broncos' game against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday, the 29th. The game took place at Empower Field in Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado.

A video of Belladonna's performance was shared on his YouTube channel. When posting the video, Joey commented: “Thank you Denver Broncos for the hospitality and the honor of singing the national anthem at Mile High Stadium!”

Belladonna, who has sung the U.S. national anthem at various sporting events in recent years, spoke to Panini Unwrapped (via Blabbermouth ) about the experience of performing the anthem in front of large crowds, many of whom are unfamiliar with her name or the band's music.

“I love doing the anthem,” he said. “People enjoy it. And I really respect the game and the anthem itself, so it’s a pleasure to be invited to be a part of it.”
