One day after the announcement of Whitesnake , guitarist Joel Hoekstra released the new single "The Fall" and announced the fourth album of his solo project. Titled From The Fade , the album is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026 by Frontiers Music Srl .

The band, fronted by guitarist and composer Joel Hoekstra, boasts a large cast of rock veterans: drummer Vinny Appice ( DIO and Black Sabbath ), bassist Tony Franklin ( The Firm ), keyboardist
Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater), and vocalist Girish Pradhan .

Regarding the new single, Joel Hoekstra commented:

'The Fall' is built on riffs and melodies that derive from two early influences I often forget to mention: Queensrÿche and Dokken. It's a straightforward, melodic hard rock track, with a solid foundation laid by Vinny Appice and Tony Franklin, a killer keyboard solo by Derek Sherinian, an impressive vocal performance by Girish Pradhan, and flawlessly executed backing vocals by Jeff Scott Soto! Hope you enjoy it!”

Legendary Whitesnake vocalist David Coverdale announced his retirement last Thursday, the 13th, through a video posted on the band's channels . According to Coverdale, the time to "end" has come, and with that, the band will cease its activities.
