This album is the sixteenth of his career.

Guitarist Joe Satriani released his new album What Happens Next this Friday, the 12th.

Released by Sony's Legacy Recordings, the album is the musician's sixteenth and features Mike Fraser once again as its producer. Fraser has been Satriani's colleague for over 20 years and has worked with other big names such as AC/DC, Metallica, and Aerosmith.

Speaking to Blabbermouth.net about the album, Satriani revealed that this is the most Rock/Soul work of his career. "This album is quite different and Mike Fraser helped me create a very interesting and unique sound ," the guitarist revealed.

In addition to his new album, Satriani has more news for fans: he will resume his G3 in Europe in March 2018. Listen to What Happens Next below:
