Joe Perry revealed whether there are plans for a possible Aerosmith . According to him, the main obstacle is lead singer Steven Tyler .

In 2024, the quintet announced that they would no longer tour due to problems Tyler had suffered with his vocal cords the previous year, and ended up canceling their farewell tour after three performances .

In an interview with American radio station WUBR , Perry stated that a farewell show might happen in the future. Furthermore, the guitarist ruled out the possibility of further tours, since, according to him, Steven neither wants to nor is able to do that anymore.

“I bet we still have one show left. There are talks about making a documentary, which should be part of the farewell. I’ve been spending a lot of time with Steven and he doesn’t want to tour and can’t tour. It’s difficult. I’m not sure if I want to go out and schedule another 40-city tour. It’s a lot of work and it takes a lot out of you, especially on an Aerosmith tour,” he said [transcription via Ultimate Classic Rock ].

Joe Perry also responded to whether reunion show. The musician answered positively. “I think so. I think it’s just a matter of getting there, you know? I mean, we’re there, man. And it’s a lot,” he concluded.
