Former Rainbow and Deep Purple vocalist Joe Lynn Turner has been hospitalized in Belarus with heart problems. The information was confirmed by Graham Bonnet, a friend of the singer and also a former Rainbow vocalist.
Turner's hospitalization was reported by the Ria Novosti and Tass news agencies. The 66-year-old singer suffered a myocardial infarction, and his condition is stable. He remains hospitalized for care.
Turner was the lead vocalist for Rainbow between 1980 and 1984, recording the album Difficult To Cure , which featured the band's most successful single in the UK, "I Surrender". In 1990, he reunited with Ritchie Blackmore and released the Deep Purple Slaves And Masters
