In April, Greta Van Fleet released their second studio album, The Battle At Garden's Gate . Despite jokes about the similarity between the band's sound and Led Zeppelin , some artists in the industry have recognized Greta Van Fleet's work, as was the case with Joseph Duplantier of Gojira .
Revolver magazine , Duplantier praised the band's second album, saying it "surprised" him and that he saw the group's classical references as a positive thing.
“I’ve heard about them as if they were a Led Zeppelin copy. I think these kids are very talented – I hate calling them ‘kids,’ actually, because it gives away how old I am,” he said. “Seeing a group of 20-year-olds playing vintage and nailing it like they did in the old days… You can say they sound like Led Zeppelin or something, I don’t care. I have more faith in humanity when I hear this. I think some things haven’t been lost. The album is absolutely incredible.”
Recently, Greta Van Fleet announced their 2022 tour in Brazil as the opening act for Metallica , and also with a solo show in Rio de Janeiro.
