The organizers of the João Rock confirm that the 19th edition of the event will take place on June 11th at the Parque Permanente de Exposições in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo.
Postponed due to the pandemic, the event will be the first since 2019, when a 13-hour marathon of shows brought together bands and artists such as Paralamas do Sucesso, Marcelo D2, Capital Inicial , and Pitty on different stages. In 2020, the organization held a live stream on June 20th, the day the festival was originally scheduled to take place in person in Ribeirão Preto, and featured performances by Alceu Valença, Poesia Acústica, Humberto Gessinger, Raimundos, Marcelo D2 , and CPM22.
The organization also confirmed that the attractions for the 2022 edition will be announced next Tuesday, October 26th, the same day that ticket pre-sales begin. Reservations will be available from 11:00 AM and will close at 11:59 PM on November 1st, with limited availability. Click here to learn more.
According to the organizers, tickets purchased for the 2021 festival will remain valid for 2022, but those who do not wish to attend João Rock next year may request a refund.
