With an event full of diverse sounds, João Rock presented us with a complete and varied line-up for the 2024 edition, promising that everyone will "experience the classics and discover the new".
Shaking up the city of Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, the festival, already scheduled for June 8th, will feature four stages filled with Brazilian music, ranging from classic national rock bands and big names in MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) to rising artists in the Brazilian rap scene. There will also be collaborations between artists of different styles, such as rapper Emicida and Bahian rocker Pitty , or Marcelo D2 , Djonga , and Um Punhado de Bambas.
The event will also feature names like Paralamas do Sucesso , Samuel Rosa , CPM22 , Marina Sena , Armandinho , Thiago Castanho and Marcão Britto – CBJR and Detonautas . “This lineup alone would be enough for a whole festival,” says Badauí , from the band CPM22. (via 89 a rádio rock )
On the main stage, which bears the event's name, featuring big names from the Brazilian music scene and unexpected collaborations, the following artists will perform: Emicida+Pitty, Marina Senna, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Armandinho, Samuel Rosa, Marcelo D2+Djonga+Um Punhado de Bambas, Detonautas, Tiago Castanho, and Marcão Britto – CBJR.
The "watercolor" stage will be entirely dominated by women in music, with a diverse lineup of female voices including Maria Gadú, Marina Lima, Tássia Reis, Negra Li, and Duda Beat. All of them will be performing at João Rock for the first time.
On the “Brazil – Legends Vol. 2” stage, the party is hosted by the great classics and living legends of Brazilian music: Lulu Santos, Djavan, Ney Matogrosso, 14 Bis, and Novos Baianos (featuring Baby do Brasil, Pepeu, and Paulinho ) . The impressive lineup for this stage is also entirely new to the event.
Last but not least, there's the "Strengthening the Scene" stage, which will showcase the power of national trap and rap with up-and-coming artists. Performing there will be Veigh, Wiu, Ebony, Teto, and Ryu The Runner.

One of the biggest national music events, João Rock has been held since 2002, and aims to showcase new names in Brazilian music who are making waves in the Brazilian music scene, alongside established and well-known artists. Featuring different generations of music, the festival has 50% of its lineup featuring new artists to demonstrate the musical variety and potential that exists in the country.
Regarding the festival's lineup, Luit Marques (one of the organizers of João Rock) says (via 89 a rádio rock ): "We are working hard to promote a complete experience for our audience, bringing new features and entertainment from the moment they arrive at the event until the last act leaves the stage."
Along with the lineup, the first batch of tickets for all sections has also been released. Banco do Brasil customers receive a 15% discount and can pay in up to 8 interest-free installments.
