Brutal Brega project , by João Gordo ( Ratos de Porão ), will take the stage at La Iglesia Borraxteria in São Paulo on March 8th for a fun tribute to "brega" music.
Created in partnership with producer Val Santos Brutal Brega project was launched in 2022, transforming songs made famous by singers like Sidney Magal and Reginaldo Rossi into punk rock versions. Since then, the band has performed in various venues and festivals such as Summer Breeze, delivering a fun show that highlights João Gordo's humorous side, who, between songs, tells stories about his fond memories that influence the choice of repertoire.
In addition to songs from the first album, the show will also include songs that will be on the project's next album, which will be released later this year, focusing on a Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) repertoire, with songs by Caetano Veloso, Moraes Moreira, Alceu Valença, and others.
