João Gordo released this Thursday, the 6th, the limited edition vinyl of the album Brutal Brega (2022). The 300 copies pressed on 180-gram orange vinyl are already Fuzz On Discos website .
“I’m very happy with the release. For me, it’s very important that the album is coming out on vinyl. We’ve never abandoned the format, since the CD era, we’ve always released Ratos de Porão on vinyl, so I don’t think about any other format, other than side 1, side 2, colored vinyl, inserts, cover, that’s how I think. Last year Ratos was the band with the most vinyl releases in Brazil. As a collector, it’s a sensational rush,” the artist said in a statement released to the press.
“Brutal Brega is a band that was formed during the pandemic, and from one project, it has already turned into two or three projects, because then came 'Brutal MPB' and now Val Santos are doing 'Brutal Samba', which is only samba from the 70s. And all of them will have colored vinyl format, alternative cover and all those things that only vinyl can give us,” he continued.
Brutal Brega , released by the Wikimetal Music , is a hardcore reinterpretation of brega music hits such as " Fuscão Preto ", " Tenho ", " Ciganinha ", " Tô Doidão " and more.
