João Gordo, vocalist of Ratos de Porão, recently announced a charity raffle with items autographed by Bruce Dickinson. The money raised will go to the Solidaridade Vegan, led by the Brazilian singer.
The winner will receive a signed copy of Iron Maiden's album Fear of the Dark (1992) and a guitar cable, also autographed, used in the recordings of Dickinson's new solo album, which took place at Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters)in Los Angeles.
Two guitar picks used in the sessions are also part of the prize. One thousand tickets had been made available, and those interested could purchase them for R$10 each on the official website. With all tickets sold out, it is no longer possible to participate in the promotion, and the results will be announced on July 5th [via Rolling Stone Brazil].
In a video posted on social media, João Gordo showed the moment Bruce signed the LP to authenticate the item. The singer also commented on the partnership and the British singer's willingness to participate in the initiative.
“This connection we have with him is crazy, because this raffle is called 'Bruce Dickinson Solidarity'. So, let's collaborate because, besides helping us, you can win this sensational Iron Maiden memorabilia – especially if you're an Iron Maiden fan,” he said.
