In the conversation, Father Júlio Lancellotti spoke about how he has been helping the poor and beggars in the city of São Paulo. The priest told João Gordo about his struggle since the times of the dictatorship, about the time he worked at the now-defunct FEBEM (a juvenile detention center), and how the fight against poverty and tyranny has been during these difficult pandemic times.

“I don’t see you as a failure. In our rock, punk, and metal scene, from what I see, you’re like a street hero. Not just for us. Everyone likes you, Father! I’m serious! Everyone likes you. Everyone admires you. And they think your struggle is very worthwhile.”

"So I think like this: There are the enemies, the people who criticize you, who think you're a bum, all that nonsense. And there are many people who support you. So I think you're not a failure. You're a winner," concludes João Gordo.
