The album Brutal Brega , a project by João Gordo singing brega classics in a punk version, is available for pre-order exclusively through Wikimetal Store , with two bonus tracks on the physical CD version.
The online pre-sale of the project, conceived by the vocalist of Ratos de Porão alongside producer Val Santos (Toyshop, VIPER), began last Monday, the 3rd. The album will be released on digital platforms and physical stores next Thursday, October 6th.
The album is a tribute to the music known as "brega," featuring Brazilian music classics transformed into punk rock versions. In addition to the four singles already released, with unusual versions of "Fuscão Preto , "Ciganinha , "Tenho," and "Tô Doidão ," the album also includes classics like "Amante Latino," and songs that show another side of João Gordo – such as the romantic "A Namorada Que Sonhei" and the duet "Não Se Vá" with Marisa Orth .
The CD version also features two exclusive bonus tracks that will not be on the digital version: “Doces Beijos” (Menudo), and “Sandra Rosa Madalena” (Sidney Magal). Brutal Brega is a release from the Wikimetal Music label.
