João Gordo 's next album , Brutal Brega: MPB Mode , is now available for pre-order on CD at the Wikimetal Store . With a release date set for November 22nd, the new work from the Ratos de Porão reimagines Brazilian music classics in a punk rock version.
Brutal Brega: MPB Mode already features the singles “ Coroné Antonio Bento ” by Tim Maia , “ Atrás do Trio Elétrico ” by Caetano Veloso , and “ Tropicana (Morena Tropicana) ” by Alceu Valença , and will also include reinterpretations of hits by artists such as Belchior , Moraes Moreira , Luiz Gonzaga , and more.
The project is a continuation of Brutal Brega (2022). Also produced by Val Santos ( Toyshop , VIPER ) and released by the Wikimetal Music , the album was a fun tribute to "brega" music and revisited classics such as " Sandra Rosa Madalena " and " Tô Doidão ". The first album is available on all platforms and on CD through the Wikimetal Store .
