KK Downing participated in the 95th episode of The Wikimetal Happy Hour and talked with Nando Machado , co-founder of Wikimetal , about some memories from when he came to Brazil in 1991 with Judas Priest.

KK Downing recalled spending four days and three nights in Rio de Janeiro when he played at Rock in Rio. "It was amazing, you know? I had so much fun, the shows were fantastic, I enjoyed the whole thing."

He continued: “I met a Brazilian girl, we spent some time together and it was great. We spent some time on the beach drinking beer with the fans.” Downing recalled that at night, fans would come to the hotel and “would keep shouting 'Priest, Priest, Priest' and it was hard to sleep.” “And other fans would keep shouting ' A-ha, A-ha!' or something like that.”

The guitarist, laughing and amused, recalls that when the Judas Priest fans stopped screaming, the A-ha fans took the opportunity to scream even louder. See the excerpt from the interview below or click here to check out the full episode.
