On Wednesday, the 8th, the band released the following statement: “We are very honored to have received permission to travel abroad with the title of ambassadors of our country in order to raise funds and publicize what is happening in our country due to the war.”
Three months ago, Jinjer launched a new merchandise line to raise money for their country. In April, the result reached over US$150,000 (approximately R$750,000). The money raised was donated to an organization of the band's choice.
Due to the war, the band had to cancel dates on their Latin American and North American tour , including shows where they wanted to headline, as well as their participation in the Knotfest Roadshow, Slipknot .
The war in Ukraine began on February 24th with the invasion of the country's territory by Russia. Since then, the two countries have been in armed conflict, causing the deaths of thousands of soldiers and civilians.
