After finishing recording their fifth studio album, the Ukrainian band Jinjer released their new single “Someone's Daughter” on August 1st. The track can now be heard on all digital platforms.
With the aim of showcasing female representation from both fiction and reality, the music video narrates the single's message, exploring the complexities and challenges faced by women.
In this way, vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk , with her powerful voice, conveys the meaning of empowerment and resistance that permeates the song.

Beyond the music, a reflection
Regarding the meaning of the single, Tatiana commented (via Blabbermouth ): "'Someone's Daughter' is an artistic attempt to shed light on the inner world of women, who in various scenarios and circumstances have had to choose a path that has historically been taken by men."
"In a world where women are often underestimated and forgotten, they are still powerful heroines who face difficulties with strength and resilience, becoming themselves unapologetically and breaking down barriers in the face of the challenges they face," she adds.
The vocalist concludes by mentioning how all women demonstrate strength in overcoming adversity and continue fighting for something better.
