Jimmy Page , guitarist for Led Zeppelin , spoke with Uncut about the craze for biopics that has been happening with Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody and revealed that a film about the group was discussed.
“We’ll have to ask Robert Plant if he’s going to play me. See how he behaves,” he said, “There are always people trying to make money off Led Zeppelin. But I’m too busy with real things to care about things that aren’t. Why would I want to make a movie? Listen to the albums. It’s all there.”
The guitarist also spoke about him and his colleagues being at their peak when the band was active: “When you talk about a band as a collaborative musical unit, we were the best. I'm not talking about one or two brilliant composers, and everyone else. I'm talking about a group of musicians who are at the peak of their talent in their own right. In Led Zeppelin, we were exactly that.”
A Led Zeppelin reunion is still a long way off, but the group has been working hard to celebrate their 50th anniversary. the documentary series they released here
