The guitar will be displayed at the Metropolitan Museum in New York

Legendary Led Zeppelin frontman Jimmy Page has spoken about his involvement with the Play It Loud . The show, which will feature iconic rock and roll instruments, will be on display at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Page loaned the guitar from "Stairway to Heaven" to the exhibition, which will feature over 130 instruments.

Among them are guitars from Eddie Van Halen, James Hetfield , and others. The event is co-organized by Jayson Kerr and Craig J. Inciardi of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“Jayson and Craig came to my house in London to talk about what they were planning. Then they showed me a floor plan of how they were going to arrange everything,” Page said in a video. “They said, ‘You go in through the Greco-Roman gallery and the first thing you see is Chuck Berry .’ ‘What,’ I said, ‘The original?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ Then I asked them what they wanted, because I was going to lend them anything they asked for.”

The guitar that Jimmy Page lent him was used in the 60s as a writing tool. It was with this guitar that he wrote the band's first four albums. "It was this guitar that I used to play 'Stairway To Heaven'," Page said.
