In an interview with Classic Rock , Jimmy Page explained why he declined to participate in Ozzy Osbourne .
The successor to Ordinary Man (2020) features big names like Zakk Wylde , Robert Trujillo , Chad Smith , Tony Iommi and even the late drummer Taylor Hawkins . Jimmy Page, however, is not one of them, and the musician explained why:
“I’ll never be one of those people who records something alone and then sends a file to someone. The main reason I started making music was the opposite of that – it was to play together with people,” he commented.
Despite rejecting that specific project, the legendary Led Zeppelin admitted to working on "many other projects," but was quite evasive when it came to detailing them. "I don't want to give any hints because if it doesn't happen, people will ask: 'Why didn't you make a solo album?'" he explained. "I don't want people to misunderstand."
Earlier this week, Ozzy Osbourne revealed that his new album is finished and promised an announcement that should arrive "in the coming weeks".
