Jimmy Page claims to be reconnecting with the guitar during the pandemic

"I'm never doing nothing, and I never fail to do something that surprises people," he says

Just like us, the legendary Jimmy Page is using his time at home during the COVID-19 pandemic to reconnect with activities he didn't have time for before, but in his case, his quarantine hobby is also what he's known for worldwide: playing guitar.

Led Zeppelin guitarist James told Classic Rock about the experience, “I’m never doing nothing, and I never fail to do something that surprises people. Like when I did a spoken word project with my girlfriend [ Catalyst from 2019, with poet Scarlett Sabet ]. Nobody expected me to do that, because nobody had done it before. It was really wonderful to do. But I’ve always had ideas, and the day I wake up and have no idea what to do or how to do it, that will be a very sad day for me. And that day seems a little further away.”

“One of the things I was complaining about before we all had to isolate ourselves was that I wasn’t getting enough time to play guitar,” he reveals. “I was actually able to say, ‘Well, that’s it. You can do this every day now.’ So, it gave me the opportunity to properly reconnect with the guitar.”
