Jim Steinman , composer and music producer, died at age 73 last Monday, the 19th. The news was released this Tuesday, the 20th, but the cause of death was not disclosed by family members.

Meat Loaf 's album Bat Out Of Hell in its entirety. The album, released in 1977, is considered one of the greatest rock albums of all time.

He worked with some of the biggest names in music. Steinman was responsible for the lyrics of the hits “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler , “Making Love Out Of Nothing At All” by Air Supply , both from 1983, and “'Corrosion” by Sisters of Mercy in 1985.

Steinman was nominated for a Grammy four times. But it was his work on Céline Dion 's Falling into You , composing the single "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and producing the album, that earned him the award in 1996.

"It is with a heavy heart that I confirm Jim's passing. There will be much more to be said in the coming hours and days as we prepare to honor this giant of a human being and his glorious legacy," a statement posted on Steinman's official Facebook page read. "For now, do something that makes you feel young, happy, and free. He would want that for you."
