Jim Lindberg , best known as the vocalist for the punk rock band Pennywise , recently released the track "The Palm Of Your Hand," which offers a preview of his acoustic solo project.

According to Lindberg, this song began to be written more than fifteen years ago, when he composed the chorus, but it was only completed in 2020, when he started working on his solo album.

“I wanted to create two fictional characters dealing with shame, guilt, and self-deception to match the lyrics of the chorus, and that’s how ‘Left-Eyed Sal’ and ‘Dead-Eyed Sally’ were created,” the musician explains. “It’s a song about two people who, for whatever reason, can’t stop sabotaging themselves and end up inflicting all sorts of harm on the people around them. The only way for them to get rid of their problems is to ‘abandon their ego’ and show their feelings. The answer is right there in front of them, in the ‘palm of their hand’.” Watch the video for “The Palm Of Your Hand”:
