Jerry Cantrell , iconic guitarist of Alice in Chains , released his newest single "I Want Blood" last Friday.
The new track features guest appearances by Duff McKagan , bassist for Guns N' Roses , and Mike Bordin , drummer for Faith No More .
“I Want Blood” follows the singles “Vilified” and “Afterglow,” and these songs will be included on the guitarist’s upcoming album, I Want Blood , which will be released this Friday, October 18th.
In addition to collaborations with McKagan and Bordin, the album features appearances by Robert Trujillo ( Metallica ), Greg Puciato ( Better Lovers, The Black Queen, ex- Dillinger Escape Plan ), Gil Sharone ( Team Sleep , Stolen Babies , Marilyn Manson ), and Lola Colette .
Cantrell comments on the new studio album ( via Consequence ): “There’s a confidence in this album. I think it has some of my best lyrics and arrangements and certainly some of my best vocals. There are large parts of this album where I felt I was pushing my abilities to the limit, operating at the peak of my capacity.”
Jerry Cantrell is coming to Brazil for a single show in São Paulo at Audio on November 12th, with only a few tickets left on the Eventim .
