The musician joined Brann Dailor and Chino Moreno on the soundtrack for the new comic book.

Alice in Chains guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell has released a solo track inspired by the new DC Comics universe that will be launched with the graphic novel Dark Days: The Road to Metal .

“Setting Sun” is the fifth release from the soundtrack, following songs by Brann Dailor of Mastodon ( “Red Death” ), Chino Moreno of Deftones ( “Brief Exchange” ), Jason Aaron Butler of Fever 333 ( “Fact Check” ), Alex Krauss of Sleigh Bells ( “War Cry” ) and Maria Brink of In This Moment ( “The Calling” ).

Dark Days is a monthly publication written by Scott Snyder and Greg Capull and features Batman as the central character. Listen to the track “Setting Sun” below.

Currently, Cantrell and his Alice in Chains bandmates are preparing the release of their album Rainier Fog , which will be released on August 24th by BMG. In November, the group will come to Brazil with Judas Priest for the second edition of the Solid Rock festival.
