Jerry Cantrell released the track "In Moonlight" last week.
The song is part of the soundtrack for the new vampire movie Sinners . The soundtrack also features Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton , and Jack O'Connell , all stars of the film.
Alice in Chains guitarist in collaboration with composer Ludwig Göransson. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich also participates in the soundtrack, playing drums alongside Cedric Burnside ,
Sharde Thomas Mallory , and Chris Mallory .
Cantrell commented: Regarding the music, Cantrell said: “I recently had the fun opportunity to work on creating a piece of music with Ludwig Göransson and Lars Ulrich. 'In Moonlight' expands on the main theme of the Sinners soundtrack. Ryan Coogler made a really cool and multifaceted film, and it was an honor to contribute to the project. Thank you, guys!”
Directed by Ryan Coogler ( Creed and Black Panther ), the film stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as two gangster brothers who return to their 1930s Mississippi hometown, only to find a supernatural evil there.
Sinners is currently showing in theaters and is receiving critical acclaim and box office success.
