Jay Weinberg's (Slipknot) drumsticks were stolen from Paul Gray's grave

The band's drummer left his drumsticks as a tribute to the late co-founder

Slipknot fan Jay Weinberg 's drumsticks Paul Gray 's grave in Des Moines, Iowa. Weinberg is the band's drummer and had left his drumsticks to honor the Slipknot co-founder and bassist.

With the instruments, Jay wrote a touching note: “Dear Paul – I hope you’re proud of the work we’ve been doing. Your presence guides this band in spirit and sound. I think you would approve of this new album. At least I hope so. All the respect and love in the world. Long live Slipknot.”

Some fans were outraged by the theft and commented on the platform: "It's so disrespectful that someone would take the drumstick; it belonged in his grave and nowhere else."

Another fan commented: “People mess up all the time. Dimebag Darrell had his gravestone vandalized by some guy recently. It’s part of human nature. The person who stole Jay’s drumstick probably thought they could make easy money off of it.”

The musician died in 2010 due to a morphine overdose, and four years later, Weinberg joined the band.
