Jay Weinberg has been officially announced as the new drummer for Suicidal Tendencies .

In a post on his Instagram stories, the drummer wrote: “It’s a huge honor and privilege to play with Suicidal Tendencies and I can’t wait to start this incredibly exciting chapter in just one week! See you in the pit!”

Suicidal Tendencies, in turn, reposted Weinberg's text on social media with a recent photo of the musician.

Jay Weinberg was a member of Slipknot for 10 years until last November, when the band announced they were parting ways with the drummer due to a "creative decision." A few days later, Jay spoke publicly about the matter and said he was "taken by surprise" by the band's decision.

Before Weinberg, the drummer for Suicidal Tendencies was Greyson Nekrutman, who was recently announced as the new touring member of Sepultura , replacing Eloy Casagrande after his sudden departure from the band.
