In a recent interview, Jay Jay French was asked about an apparently fake tweet attributed to Elon Musk . The alleged tweet, which cannot be found online but was taken as true during the interview, stated that "drug dealers know more about running a business than most college professors."

Although the veracity of the post has not been confirmed, the Twisted Sister guitarist agreed with the logic behind the controversial statement and also used examples from the music industry and, more specifically, rock 'n' roll.

“I survived that, the multiple overdoses, the multiple assassination attempts, so if he really said that, congratulations to him,” said Jay Jay. “I would prefer the knowledge of a street person over any academic at any time when it comes to business because you learn how to deal with people, so I would say that for sure.”

“And, by the way, let me be very clear: rock 'n' roll is a criminal enterprise. Record labels are criminal. It's that simple – they're just legally criminal,” said the guitarist. “So, when you're in a pool of criminality, whether it's obvious criminality or, in other words, blue-collar crime, where someone threatens you with a gun, or white-collar crime, you're dealing with criminals.”
