Bassist Jason Newsted joined Megadeth yesterday for the final show of the Gigantour to play Metallica 's "Phantom Lord ." The collaboration between the two had been anticipated throughout the tour.

In early June, the Megadeth frontman posted on Twitter asking fans which song the two former Metallica members should play. Phantom Lord was one of the options.
