Jason Momoa plays Red Hot Chili Peppers to test out his new bass.

Actor received a custom bass guitar from a colleague at Fender

Earlier this month, actor Jason Momoa , a self-proclaimed rock and heavy metal fan, turned 41 and received a great birthday present: a custom Fender Precision Bass. To celebrate and debut the instrument, he played "Higher Ground" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and shared the moment with his fans.

In an IGTV video, Momoa shows off the gift given to him by Vincent Van Trigt , who works in the customizable instrument department at Fender, and then the actor is shown playing the song from the 1989 Mother's Milk

“Look at this, man!”, says the artist in the video, showing off the bass, “This thing is so fucking awesome!” And then he starts playing. In the comments, fans and fellow artists comment on the new gift, including Gary Holt from Slayer , who wished the actor a happy birthday and commented “Killer”.
