Through his social media, guitarist Jão , from Ratos de Porão , sent a very direct message to Digão , vocalist and guitarist of Raimundos .

Jão expressed his weariness with Digão's criticism of Ratos de Porão and proposed that the two settle their differences the old-fashioned way: "with a fight." In his statement, Jão also criticized Digão for his political views and justified not following the singer on social media because "fascists are persecuted, not followed."

“It seems that Digão, from Raimundos, lacking musical inspiration — if he ever had any — has decided to attack my band and my bandmates to get attention,” Jão said in a video. “You should wash your mouth out with soap, my brother, before you talk about my band. More than 40 years of history for a piece of shit like you to come and defame my band?”

And then he challenged you: “I’m here, publicly, making a challenge. Let’s both go into a ring and fight. Let’s see if you can handle it, if you’re really all that you’re cracked up to be on the internet.”

Jão also took the opportunity to needle Digão about his political views and for declaring his vote for Jair Bolsonaro . "If you don't want to fight, if you want to have a duel like in an old Western movie, we can do that too. Because you're a Bolsonaro supporter, you must have a weapon."

In the video caption, Jão took one last jab: “Just don’t call your dad’s lawyer, be a man.” So far, Digão has not commented on the challenge. Update (October 7, 2022): See Digão’s response here .
