The legal dispute between the members of Jane's Addiction and vocalist Perry Farrell has come to an end. On September 13, 2024, Farrell assaulted guitarist Dave Navarro during a concert.

According to People , the lawsuit filed in July of this year by Navarro, Eric Avery , and Stephen Perkins has been officially dismissed. The Los Angeles Superior Court closed the case on December 22nd, following an out-of-court settlement between the parties [ via Blabbermouth ].

Perry was being charged with: assault, bodily harm, intentionally inflicting emotional distress, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract.

The lawsuit alleged that the cancellation of the band's tour resulted in losses exceeding $10 million (approximately R$55.7 million). The plaintiffs demanded that Farrell cover all outstanding debts related to the tour cancellation.

However, the agreement does not mean the band will return. On December 17, a joint statement on social media confirmed the definitive end of Jane's Addiction, who reunited for the "last time" to "resolve differences" and "preserve the legacy" built over four decades of their career.

The members also made it clear that they will be pursuing separate paths in new "musical and creative projects".
