Newsted will release an EP in January
Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has released the first song from his new band, Newsted. The song, "Soldierhead," was made available yesterday on iTunes.
The EP, titled “Metal”, is scheduled for release in early January. Newsted had previously announced the single's release in a handwritten message posted on Twitter.
When asked about the reason for the band's name, Newsted explained that he had several options, but chose his own name because he hoped people would immediately associate the project with him.
