James Hetfield visits Ukrainian soldiers at an American hospital; see photos.

The meeting was organized at the last minute by Kelli Rohrig, from the NGO Limbs for Liberty

Last Monday, the 22nd, James Hetfield Kelli Rohrig , co-founder of the NGO Limbs for Liberty , which helps Ukrainians wounded in the war, was responsible for the meeting.

After unexpectedly encountering the musician in the hospital parking lot, Rohrig kindly asked Hetfield to meet soldiers Roman Denysiuk and Igor Voinyi . James then wished them a speedy recovery and left a note in Kelli's car that read, "You made my day."

“It was unexpected. I didn’t even believe it was him when I saw him. It was very quick, but it was a very warm encounter. It would be nice to be with him around a campfire, having a drink, instead of in the hospital,” Voinyi said (via Vail Daily ).
