James Hetfield is releasing a book that explores his personal guitar collection through images and writing. Messengers: The Guitars Of James Hetfield will be available on October 17th.
The 400-page book will offer a detailed look at each of the musician's instruments. "James shares the emotion and technical elements of the chosen tools that have shaped his unique musical journey, including exotic instruments, vintage Gibsons, and unique custom-made items. He also reveals many studio secrets, including the key amplifiers and equipment that sculpt his tone and create his sound," reveals the project summary (via Theprp ).
“Each featured guitar is accompanied by lush portraits by acclaimed photographer Scott Williamson , showcasing intimate details that can only be seen when held in your own hands. It encompasses over forty guitars, from original battle-scarred road warriors and studio trusty pieces to enduring tour favorites.
