James Hetfield has been cast in the new "dark western" film The Thicket , but his role has not yet been revealed. The project, produced by Game of Thrones Peter Dinklag , is based on the novel of the same name by Joe R. Lansdale .
According to IMDB , the film, which is currently in production, is scheduled for release on October 6th and is being developed by the free American streaming service Tubi .
The Ticket tells the story of a boy from West Texas whose sister is kidnapped by a gang led by a murderess. The boy then embarks on epic adventures alongside a bounty hunter, an alcoholic, and a prostitute.
Juliette Lewis , Leslie Grace , Levon Hawke , and Esmé Creed-Miles are also in the cast.
In 2019, the Metallica made his Ted Bundy biopic , Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile .
