Watch the video of James Hetfield's impersonation

In an interview on a French television program, Metallica guitarist James Hetfield jokingly imitated Dave Mustaine's voice singing the Megadeth classic "Symphony Of Destruction".

The interview took place after the release of the 2008 album Death Magnetic and featured all four members of Metallica on stage.

In the video below, when the playback of the Megadeth song stops, James covers his nose and imitates Mustaine.

Seeing that Lars Ulrich is trying not to comment, the show's host asks if the drummer doesn't want to say anything:

“I’m going to stay out of this. Back in 1982 I already stayed out of this discussion and I’m going to keep trying to stay out of it,” says Lars, and looking at James, concludes: “You [James] do your thing with Dave, I’m staying out of this .

And James Hetfield replies: “But I didn’t say anything bad, nothing bad at all. He’s great, a great composer .
