James Hetfield , frontman of Metallica , will make his dramatic acting debut in the film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile . It will be screened on January 26th as part of the official selection at the Sundance Film Festival.
The film follows the relationship between notorious serial killer Ted Bundy ( Zac Efron ) and his girlfriend ( Lily Collins ), who was unaware of his crimes.
The vocalist will portray police officer Bob Hayward, a veteran who was the first law enforcement agent to arrest Bundy in 1975. Hetfield has played himself in films and television series before, but this will be his first dramatic role.
